The Members of the Mission Medication Disposal Team

Faculty Advisors:

Dr. Sam Augustine is a professor of pharmacy practice at Creighton University. He earned both his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and his Doctor of Pharmacy degrees at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He also completed a residency at the University of Nebraska Hospital. He is an instructor in the subjects of pharmacy calculations, dispensing and parenteral drug products. In addition to his teaching duties, he has published over 20 papers, mainly in the concentration of radioimmunotherapy. He is the President-Elect of the Nebraska Pharmacists Association and helped to develop the USP 797 guidelines, which clearly define guidelines for compounding sterile preparations. He is an APhA fellow and is the recipient of several awards from the American Pharmacists Association.

Dr. Kim Begley is an assistant professor of pharmacy practice at Creighton University. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Creighton University and previously was a community pharmacist for 13 years. She is an instructor in dispensing and pharmaceutical care. She has published 8 papers to date, mostly on interdisciplinary skills of health professional students.

All student members are second-year student pharmacists unless otherwise noted.

Jeff Barnes is the chairman of the drug disposal project.
