What is Project Hypertension?
Project Hypertension is a comprehensive diagnostic and information pharmaceutical care project under Creighton APhA-ASP. The primary focus of the project is to provide information, support and diagnostic procedures to outline the importance of maintaining a healthy blood pressure and addressing the "silent killer" we know as heart disease. Emphasis is placed on the patient keeping aware of their "number" by testing blood pressure regularly and maintaining a heart-healthy lifestyle which includes a nutritious diet and daily exercise. Project Hypertension also holds events in the Omaha area to educate the public about the risk factors and complications of heart disease.
