What We Do

We are responsible for promoting APhA and ASP throughout the year as well as collecting dues in the Fall.  We take care of our Chapter Dues and take care of Membership with the National Office.

Here are some ways ASP can benefit you: 

  1. Members have access to pharmacist.com, a powerful tool where members will be able to access member-only resources and benefits online

  2. APhA-ASP Midyear Regional Meetings and the Annual Meeting and Expo will expose members to career options, legislative issues, and other topics of interest to pharmacy students

  3. APhA-ASP offers dozens of programs throughout the year to help members understand and evaluate pharmacy career options

  4. Members of ASP receive print subscriptions to Pharmacy Today and Student Pharmacist

  5. Leadership opportunities are also available for members at the chapter, regional, and national levels

  6. There are many more benefits offered through ASP such as discounts on textbooks, car insurance, life insurance, and free professional liability coverage in your P4 year 

Here’s how to register:

If you were a member of APhA-ASP during the 2010-2011 school year, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the following website to get to the membership registration website

    http://www.pharmacist.com/AM/Template.cfm?Section=How_to_join_APhA

  2. On this page, click on Renewing APhA-ASP Member located below the list of pharmacy schools

  3. Please enter your username and password as provided by the national office upon registration in the 2010-2011 school year.

    1. If you have not gone into the pharmacist.com website and changed this information in the past:

      1. Your username should be: firstinital lastinitial membership#
        (for example: jd012345)

      2. Your password should be: the last three numbers of your membership# your first initial and the first two letters of your last name
        (for example: 345jdo)

    2. If you have changed this information at the pharmacist.com website then please use that information to access the registration form

  4. Look to the upper-right of this page and click Your Account in the yellow box.

  5. At the center of the screen click on the gray Pay Dues button.

  6. You should now see a list of fees and a total. Just below the total click the gray Add to Basket button.

  7. Follow the credit card instructions.

  8. After payment is processed, print out the payment receipt and keep for records.

    1. This is strongly encourages as there have been occasions when errors have occurred and it has been necessary to show proof of registration to correct the errors.

  9. When you get your payment confirmation, delete the credit card information and email to: Megan Sauer at megansauer@creighton.edu to let me know that you have registered with APhA-ASP online. This will ensure that your name will be on Creighton’s ASP chapter membership list.
